We’ve Been Working!

Hi Parents!

Welcome to October!

First of all, I would like to thank you for supporting the Georgetown Walk-A-Thon! It was a HUGE success! Our classroom earned an extra recess because of all of you!

Here is a quick snapshot of what we’ve been working on…

In Reading, we’ve wrapped up our first unit of Building a Reading Life/Reading Stone Fox. Now we begin Unit 2- Analyzing Characters and Reading The Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo.

We are presently revising/editing our Personal Narrative Writing! Next, we will be writing our very own Realistic Fiction Story based on our own real life experiences.

This week we will be tackling a math review and Unit 1 Test! Unit 2 is all about Multiplication! It is always very helpful for your child to practice math facts (pretty please?).

In Social Studies, each student is making a poster explaining the 6 Characteristics of a Market Economy. Those characteristics are- 1) Voluntary Exchange 2) Consumer Sovereignty 3) Competition             4) Incentives 5) Private Property Rights 6) Specialization

Enjoy your week!
