November 11 annually commemorates Veterans Day in the United States. Veterans Day is “a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good” (Office of Veterans Affairs). We honor all veterans who have served in times of peace and war. If you are interested in learning more about the history of Veterans Day, why it’s called Armistice Day and November 11th’s importance in American history, please check out the following site:
